Profiles   Dr. Melvin Stern is the founder of PGS. He serves as co-partner and Chief Operating Officer. Dr. Stern is board certified in Geriatric Psychiatry. He graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his residency at Harvard University – Massachusetts Mental Health Center. He was a Clinical Associate at the National Institute of Mental Health. Dr. Stern serves as Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at George Washington University School of Medicine. He was selected as Teacher of the Year on two occasions. He has been listed in the Washingtonian’s group of Top Doctors.   Dr. Narayanan Ramesh serves as co-partner and co-Chief Operating Officer with Dr. Melvin Stern. He is board certified in psychiatry and is also certified by the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology. He graduated from Annamalai University Medical School in India where he received a gold medal for being the most outstanding student. Dr. Ramesh completed his psychiatric training at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt program. He has served as Department Chair at Montgomery General Hospital Department of Psychiatry and Medical Director for Potomac Ridge Group Homes. Dr. Ramesh maintains an active outpatient practice in Gaithersburg.
